1. Scope
This policy describes the OdoNext Android application, specifically the initial on-device Personal version. It does not describe future cloud services, subscriptions, or advertising features that have not yet been activated.

2. Information you enter
The app lets you store vehicle details, registration/insurance information, fleet groups, fuel and maintenance entries, fines, accident records, driver names and identification/licence details, vehicle assignment history, photos, videos and other attachments. Depending on your choices, these records may contain personal or sensitive information about you or other people. Enter other people's information only with appropriate authority.

3. Location and device permissions
OdoNext requests device location permission when you start GPS trip tracking. The app uses location readings to estimate trip distance and saves journey endpoints and related trip records on the device. It may request camera or photo/video access when you choose to add attachments. These features are optional and depend on the permissions you grant. The current tracking functionality is designed for use while the app is active, not as a continuous background monitoring service.

4. Where data is stored
In the current Personal version, app records and media are stored locally on your Android device. OdoNext does not currently provide a developer-operated cloud account or automatic cloud synchronization. Local records are not automatically uploaded to an OdoNext server.

5. Sharing, backup and restoration
You can choose to export a vehicle PDF or create a full ZIP backup and share or save it using other apps (for example, WhatsApp, email or cloud storage). Those external services process files under their own privacy terms. A ZIP backup can include personal information and attached media; it is not password-encrypted. You control where the exported file is sent or saved. Restoration lets you import data from a backup you select.

6. Third-party software
The app uses Flutter and Android system functionality, and packages for media selection, GPS location, storage, PDF production and file sharing. A final review of the release build and its included third-party SDKs is required before making an accurate Google Play Data safety declaration. No developer-operated advertising, cloud-login or analytics service is included in the reviewed source dependencies. This statement must be updated if SDKs or data handling change.

7. Retention and deletion
Local records remain on your device until you remove them through available app controls or remove the application's data. Uninstalling the app generally deletes its local application data, but exported ZIP backups, PDFs and files shared to other services must be managed separately. OdoNext cannot remotely erase copies you exported to other apps.

8. Security
Android application storage provides device-level protections. However, the current local version does not offer encrypted backup ZIPs, an OdoNext cloud account, or a guarantee that your data will survive loss or damage of the device. Protect your phone and store backups securely. Do not share backups with people who should not receive the included information.

9. Children
OdoNext is designed for adult vehicle owners and fleet operators, not children.

10. Updates and contact
We will revise this policy before enabling advertising, account registration, remote synchronization, subscriptions or other features that change data practices. For privacy enquiries contact [REPLACE_WITH_REAL_SUPPORT_EMAIL].

IMPORTANT BEFORE PUBLICATION: Replace the contact placeholder, confirm every statement against the final signed Android App Bundle and merged manifest, add a Privacy Policy link within the app, and publish the policy on a public HTTPS page. This is a working draft, not a legal certification.
